Gree Dong'ao Hotel

Simply amazing! The hotel itself is an amazing piece of architecture with lots of attention to detail. We stayed in the deluxe ocean view suite, and it is one of the best rooms I’ve stayed at. Very spacious, high end furnishings and fixtures. The only thing I would’ve liked is brighter lighting in the bathroom. The shower and toilet are very dimly lit. The lady who showed us to our room did recommend opening all the blinds for more brightness. The room has magnificent views and it was lovely to wake up seeing the blue ocean just outside your window. The gym is very high tech, with the latest treadmills and machines. Bring headphones / AirPods - they can connect to the machines. We ate at their two restaurants, sea salt and hai tong - which offered high quality and delicious food, and also drank at their bar called Chun. The breakfast buffet had a good variety and am impressed with their Dimsum. You can also order as many dishes as you want from the breakfast menu. There’s a free shuttle that takes you back to the port where there is a row of seafood market stalls and you can have them cooked at the opposite side where there are numerous restaurants. The younger staff may need a bit more training, especially at Chun bar where I asked for a vodka soda and after pointing it out on the menu, the young lady asked me how to make it 😅 one more small thing I wanted to point out, everyone needs to wear a swimming cap if you want to use the pool. This is the first time we’ve been told this, but they have them for sale if you don’t have one. Other than that, the english speaking staff at sea salt and the reception area are very attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel!

Unprofessional staff with attitude. If you want a good vacation don’t come here. You will be confused and frustrated by untrained staff and people. The shuttle bus and pool staff are so arrogant. The tables are all dirty and they don’t come to clean them. It’s hard to believe that this is a hotel under the Hyatt Group. The hardware is up to standard but the staff seem to have not received any training. Very unprofessional
