Absolutely beautiful island. And very easy to get to. Fares are cheap enough, and there is heaps to do. Even on windy days, there is enough shelter around the island to still get some good snorkeling done. We go here every trip to cairns.
Green island resort is set in a stunning spot with lots of reef accessible straight off the beach. So many kinds of fish, turtles, reef sharks were spotted. And the crocodile enclosure being located there is very awesome! The food however is quite limited as there is only fast food takeaway or a high end restaurant which made fresh fruity and veg hard to get. The chips were really nice but after a few days of only being able to eat dried food I found myself craving some fresh produce which was hard to come by.
Only stayed for 2 nights Great place to go snorkelling and great place in general rooms are nice. The island it self is beautiful Only problem is there are rats on the island and we saw one on our balcony and the moldy smell but other than that it’s great
