Greenhost Boutique Hotel

Location is smacked right amongst other hotels, in a very local area, with a local market just down the road. There are quite a bit of bars and restaurants around the area as well. Look is deceiving! Try walking around and you will see them! Otherwise, hotel is definitely of a 4 to 5-star standard. Ambient is cool all around the hotel despite no air conditioning at the lobby and the corridor area. This is due to the numerous plants around. There were other reviews that wrote about mosquitoes, but we have not sighted any during our 5 nights stay at the hotel. Amenities, quality of bed and pillows are easily on par with the 5-star hotels in Singapore. Would definitely recommend to visitors looking to visit Yogyakarta but prefers the relatively quieter outskirts instead of the bustling city life.

My wife and I took a night's shelter here to recover from an earlier food poisoning from our previous destination. We were immensely relieved that not only the room, but the entire hotel was relaxing and therapeutic. Even the shower gel and shampoo were aromatic and fragrant! The staff accommodated to our request for an off-menu item (porridge with ginger), and we were treated to the utmost level of service by all staff. Amazing value for money. Would definitely stay here if we vosited Yogyakarta again.

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is beautiful, with lots of greenery that creates a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. Our room was very spacious and spotlessly clean, we really appreciated that! One downside was that the roomservice was quite expensive by Indonesian standards. Also, during the night there was quite a bit of noise, it sounded like heavy furniture being moved and there was a noticeable humming sound. It’s a good idea to bring earplugs; with those, it’s not a big issue.
