The location from Brisbane central isn’t too bad.. be prepared for uphill walking.. the rooms are very small and “just” ok for one person but don’t try a couple here.. the bathroom was disgusting.. mouldy in every crevice, the shower head couldn’t be moved and the shower pressure was awful.. its was on an angle and not all holes had water coming out of them.. it takes ages to rinse your hair.. and the water runs hot and cold. Somehow I missed the room makeup everyday except for one day.. very strange as I was out every day.. and didn’t put a sign out.. the biggest issue was the filthy shower though.. mouldy and really not properly functional. Don’t stay here. There’s better accommodation. Rooms are very loud with downstairs driveway noises and elevator noise.
The level smelled like mould immediately on stepping out of the lift and was stronger when walking into the room on arrival. Our room was not very clean with specks of lint and crumbs of something over the carpet. The bathroom was mouldy, black grime around the base of the tap that can be wiped off with a cloth. Mattress was comfy. Overall the standard of cleanliness was low and felt like we were staying on a backpackers.
We booked the room for a 3 night stay but We were disappointed with the room and checked out the next morning. There isn’t anywhere to put your luggage except on the floor which didn’t have much room as it was. The hanging space for our clothes, tea and coffee facilities were ridiculously together so your clothes hang over the kettle. It was odd. Bathroom had mold, shower was nice though, pillows uncomfortable. We thought they put us in a standard room by mistake as we booked the deluxe room so with the confirmation that it was deluxe, we left! Fortunately we found somewhere that was far more comfortable.
