Grupotel Acapulco Playa Adults only

The staff was smiling, very helpful, and friendly. The rooms were clean, with over half of them having sea views. The pool was clean, with plenty of sun loungers. Adults only hotel.

Our stay at Grupotel Acapulco Playa was beautiful. Pros: The location is perfect, right at the entrance to the beach. Furthermore, the hotel is located in a select area of the resort, making it quieter and clean. You can have a great sunset view if you choose to stay in a sea view room, at least at the 2nd floor. Nearby there are many shops, restaurants, bars and centers where you can rent bicycles, scooters and cars. The food at the hotel's restaurant is very tasty, you can find a wide variety of dishes suitable for all tastes. We were delighted to see how many vegetarian options were made available to us. The staff is extremely friendly. At check-in you are greeted with a glass of champagne and at the restaurant, the ladies receive a bouquet of flowers. The hotel provides beach towels, which can be changed daily by the lifeguard at the pool. Cons: if you want to have total peace, you should know that every evening at the hotel bar there are concerts and karaoke nights, which last until 23:00. Also, the rooms are a bit small and the walls are thin, you can hear a lot of sounds from the other rooms (especially the curtain when it is drawn, because the support is made of plastic and makes a loud noise).

I ate at their restaurant downstairs and they forgot about my food for 30 minutes, all I ordered was chicken fingers and coffee. They finally brought it and the chicken was completely raw I had to spit it out and the waiter said “it’s ok sometimes that happens” then proceeded to still charge me for the coffee after I sent back the fingers and said I will not be eating there. This is appalling- I get mistakes happen but I just was served raw chicken with pretty much no apology. The coffee should’ve been comped as well. Terrible
