Guggis Hotel

This is one of the best hotel experiences we have had. The staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were very clean, and the breakfast and skiers’ snacks were delightful. The extensive spa, including a stream room, sauna, and more, was an unexpected surprise. It’s also very easy to take the frequent buses to Lech if necessary, but the skiing in Zurs was also the best at all of Ski Arlberg in our opinion. The lift is a 2 minute walk away. Highly recommend staying here.

If you are looking to stay in the Lech/Zurs/St Anton region, look no further. Hotel Guggis is a professional, immaculately clean, family run bed and breakfast in the perfect location. We are so glad we chose this hotel as it delivered a quality, luxurious and authentic Austrian experience. All other hotels in the area appeared to be either be more corporate/generic or much much more expensive. The rooms were spacious (great storage) and very quiet. Views are charming and discreet (away from the main road). Beds were very comfortable. Water pressure and temperature were excellent (great bath!). Breakfast and the apres snack were delicious. The eating rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. The staff was so friendly, warm, inviting and very helpful. From a skier’s perspective, it is in the middle of accessing the best terrain for all ski levels and the best part is that especially in the morning, it is not heavily trafficked. We had a 12” power morning and did 4 runs without seeing a soul! You will not experience this in Lech or St. Anton; however you can travel to those towns easily by lifts/gondolas or by a short and frequent bus, a 2 minute walk from the hotel. (Also shout out to the convenient ski storage room and boot heater, making it essentially a ski in ski out experience). The spa was also an unexpected treat. The photos on their website do not do it justice. It is a very thoughtful, clean, tranquil experience that was delightful after a long day of skiing. Seriously, stay here! It will exceed your expectations.

The ultimate Alpine ski town experience! Guggis is a hotel / guest house, with beautiful decor throughout! We had a large hotel room with separate bath and toilet, queen bed and a large desk, AND a small sitting room with sofa and coffee table! Large windows overlooking the Austrian Alpes! There's a ski equipment storage room in the basement, and a wellness spa area to relax after a long (and sore!) day of skiing! AND THE BREAKFAST! Full buffet with cold cuts, cheese, fresh fruits, yogurts and made-to-order eggs and specialty coffee. A wonderful place to stay!
