Fabulous little hotel (particularly if you get one of the corner rooms with windows all down 2 sides!). Rooms were well equipped, the breakfast buffet was great (good mix of Spanish and other options) and all the hotel staff were warm and welcoming. Christina, on reception, was particularly kind, attentive and helpful (and had great language skills jumping from us Brits to a disgruntled French man). The street cafes and bars all around were wonderful places to hang out. Can’t wait to go back there

Hotel is in quiet area, but the cleaning lady does not clean the room despite requesting cleaning service. Shower drains still had all hair remains, and we did not receive amy new towels. The room was not cleaned. When I asked for new towels, the concierge lied that the housekeeping room was locked. When I wanted to speak with supervisor due 3 nights of uncleaned room, only then did they get up to grab towels. The housekeeping room was unlocked and easily accessible. Overall, definitely not a 4 star hotel.

I recently stayed at Hotel Guitart Grand Passage in Barcelona for nearly a week with a friend, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve encountered. From the moment we arrived, the service was disappointing. There was no staff available to assist with our luggage from the taxi, and when we asked for help carrying our bags to the room, no assistance was provided. This lack of basic hospitality was unexpected and unacceptable. The issues continued throughout our stay. The room was either never cleaned or barely . Each day we returned hoping to relax, only to find the room exactly as we had left it. This showed a clear lack of attention to guest comfort and cleanliness. The bathroom facilities were also problematic. The shower temperature was extremely inconsistent, swinging between scalding hot and freezing cold with no way to regulate it properly. This made what should be a simple daily routine unnecessarily stressful. To make matters worse, several members of the reception staff were noticeably unhelpful and unfriendly. There was a consistent lack of professionalism and courtesy, which further contributed to the overall negative experience. In conclusion, Hotel Guitart Grand Passage failed to meet even the most basic expectations for service, cleanliness, and guest care. I would not recommend this hotel to other travelers.
