Gulf Inn Hotel Muteena

Let’s start with the booking process. We booked a king bed, but upon check-in, we were given two separate single beds. We asked to change the room, and although they said there is no king bed room available,though we saw they had availability and those rooms are given to people coming with escorts. This is not a hotel where you can stay with your family or partner. It felt more like a haunted place. The furniture in the room was completely broken and extremely dirty, as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. When we asked for water, we were told it was chargeable. The room was extremely hot, and we couldn’t sleep the whole night. On top of that, the AC was making a loud noise, as if it was about to break into pieces. The washroom was another disaster — it was broken, and there was only one towel, which was also very dirty. Overall, it was the most horrible experience one could have. You don’t expect hotels like this in Dubai, especially in such a good location. There were multiple clubs inside the hotel with loud music, making it even worse. This hotel is clearly targeted at people looking for one-night stands or hookups, not for genuine travelers or families.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and while the location and room size were decent, the overall experience was disappointing. The cleanliness was appalling: the room had cockroaches and flies, the bathroom was in such a poor state that we didn’t feel comfortable using it, and the curtains were visibly dirty. For a room meant for three people, there were only two towels provided, and the toilet flush button was broken. To make matters worse, the TV was not even free—something I’ve never seen in a hotel before. This is definitely not a family-friendly hotel. The constant noise from the nightclub downstairs, which went on until 4 AM, made it impossible to sleep. The atmosphere felt more geared toward partygoers or people looking for one-night stands and escorts, not for those seeking a restful stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, and family-friendly place to stay.

Parking not free. You have to pay 30aed. The room smells like someone was smoking cigarette but it was indicated that it’s a non-smoking room. Even the alley smells like cigarette. It’s like 3rd hand smoking. Smell of cigarette will stick to your clothes. This hotel is a health hazard. Specially children with asthma or any other respiratory problems. They only serve water once. The next day it’s not free.
