Great place right down in the fjord. Spa with hot pools, sauna and bathing in the fjord. There are diferent rooms. We stayed in 60* second floor with our own balcony. Service was understaffed, but those who worked there, were service minded, I do think it is diferent in the summer season.
We had both lunch and dinner at Gullmarsstrand and really enjoyed the whole experience. The place has a relaxed yet elegant vibe with excellent service throughout. Lunch was simple and tasty, with well-made cocktails that hit the spot. Dinner was lovely – we got a perfect seat with a beautiful sunset view over the water, which made the evening extra special. Great atmosphere, good food and drinks, and a stunning location. Would definitely visit again!
This is the second time we’ve stayed here. First for a wedding and second with our two kids. The rooms are basic but the hotel and facilities are gorgeous. A bit surprising that booking a family room but it’s located at the top of a hill where two sets of stairs are unavoidable. With two young kids, a pram and luggage it’s a bit of a hassle. It is also very warm in the rooms although fans are provided. Lastly, the sofa bed for our daughter is very uncomfortable, you can feel all the springs under you. No fridge in the room either.
