Gut Berg Naturhotel

Went at the end of May, which is really just before the start of the main summer season. We are actually quite hard to please, but thoroughly enjoyed this place - nice rooms, great view, pretty good spa facilities, good location for lots of stuff and a station at the bottom of the hill if you don't feel like driving. If we went again we'd go a couple of weeks later after the main huts network is open (mid-June) as the hiking season kicks in. But the hotel itself was great - family run, good food, nice choice of mainly local wines, very helpful staff. Recommended.

very friendly, family oriented hotel. perfect location ski-in/ski-out. kids were very happy to have a small farm, to care and feed horses and cows... of course, indoor pool was also a great fun for them. highly recommended, especially for families with children!

I asked for a room with a mountain view, and they gave me a dark one facing another building, about 3m away. The very young and not very nice lady at the reception told me when I did the reservation that my room would face the parking lot but also the mountains; not true. She also said there weren't more rooms available. When I told the owner the next morning I would leave, she told me that she would get me another room...oh, now that I leave there are rooms available?? Also, dining room was poorly lit, sad, and the service was appaling: not a single hello, smile...salad bar was pension level, although bfast was pretty good. Pool had the jets broken and the door to the spa closed after 7 (but they didn't "know") even though they claim it's open until much later. This is not a 4 star hotel. Answer: I write with another name, obviously.
