Stayed at this hotel with two small kids for a couple of nights as wedding guests. Would absolutely recommend it as an excellent location for a wedding. The kids loved the small playground, the ponies and the rabbits. We loved the peaceful atmosphere and the extraordinary level of service.

I attended the Wedding fair "ich will" at Gut Hohenholz last weekend. The atmosphere has been very nice and delightful. Drinks were chilled and clean (Coke 0,2 for 2 Euros). In My opinion There have been too much companies in each room so it was very full all the time. They better had opened another room to stretch it a bit.

I stayed with my husband for 2 nights for a wedding. The room and facilities themselves were good. Clean and comfortable. However the overall stay was not pleasant. There was a lot of building work ongoing at the time, which continued until approximately 2 hours before the wedding. This caused unnecessary stress and discomfort for the wedding party and the guests - especially as the work started at 7am on the day of the wedding! The room for the wedding meal was already set up 1 day before, it looked beautiful, but with the ongoing building work and the doors open, there was already dust and dirt all over the room, including on the tables with the plates and glasses. The venue for the ceremony was changed to the gazebo due to bad weather, however no effort was made from the hotel staff to set up the venue, or even to offer assistance. The groom and some of his guests had to set up the gazebo themselves, including requesting more chairs (which we had to ask for twice). Furthermore, there was rubbish and broken furniture surrounding the gazebo. While the rubbish was removed, the furniture was not, and again had to be moved by some of the wedding guests so that it was not visible during the ceremony. The attitude of some of the staff was also very unpleasant. Considering how many guests were staying, and the amount of money that was spent, some staff members were very rude. One wedding guest even had to request that the recycling was not done during the apero, while the bride and groom had their pictures taken, as it spoilt the atmosphere through being so loud. It felt to many people that the wedding was an inconvenience to the hotel, and the entire party were not treated with respect. The venue and the hotel itself are lovely. The food was also very good. However I would not stay again due to the poor service provided during our time there. And I would definitely not recommend this venue for a wedding. Undue stress was put on the bride and groom, which is NOT acceptable on a wedding day. If the hotel want to provide weddings at this beautiful location, they need to reconsider how to improve their services significantly, starting with the attitude of some of the staff.
