Gut Hügle Erlebnishof

Great place to stay with kids, nice and spacious rooms quite a lot of different amenities indoors and outdoors. People have been welcoming and helpful. Wonderful breakfast options

We stayed for four nights at Gut Hügle and it’s a great hotel. Perfect location for us visiting friends in Ravensburg. Hotel and restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. There are limited options on the restaurant menu but we made it work. Rooms are finished amazingly. Would like to visit in the summer.

Avoid staying overnight or eating at the restaurant We’re staying in one of the suite rooms in the main building. The room is simply awful. No proper ventilation or air conditioning is installed and opening the windows is just not possible because of the insects. Spiders were crawling arise already, one being on our child’s bed, so no need for more. The non-secured WiFi is pretty limited, if functional at all in the room. The indoor layout is strange. You have to walk through the restaurant or an indoor game room for kids to get to the room, which also is stuffy with no air conditioning or proper ventilation. A huge indoor floating attraction for kids is making the air quality even worse by adding plastic smell into the mix. The food is also very disappointing - imagine a “Hof” not offering fresh fruits at the open buffet, but leftover watermelons from the previous day. Leftover cake parts sharing the same destiny with the handmade jams - having no coverage and being tasted by many flies. Quite interesting detail: The restaurant had a sign at its reception/cashier desk saying, “If you’re in a hurry, go somewhere else.” What a welcoming message to see at your first step! If I’m paying so much for such a room and food, and you can’t handle people expecting fast service, then you should be the one going somewhere else trying your luck in a different industry. The outdoor pool is mossy and clearly not cleaned properly, dead flies and hair inside the water. Towels in the room are not changed every day and most likely you will be putting your towels on the floor by the fool. Public transport is nearly nonexistent, so unless you travel with your own car, don’t even consider staying. Overall a very unsatisfying experience —overpriced and poorly managed. One more day left to go, we can’t wait for our stay to finally end.
