Göbels Schlosshotel Prinz von Hessen

We have been staying in a hotel for the second time and really enjoyed everything. The location is in a nice castle ruins which, I am sure, even more picturesque in summer. Service is German, means a little distant, but very professional and all requests were addressed properly. Halfboard includes a nice lunch, which is very, very great during the day of spa. Spa area is big and nice, outside pool is amazing. Separate compliments to the food, especially Asian twist meals. Seldom in German hotels I get anything tasting remotely as it would in actual Asian countries, but here the fusion was actually delicious, and spices were used without shy, we really enjoyed our meals, though I would wish portions in menu dinner were a bit bigger, as we were often left hungry afterwards. (We are big eaters) Wine quiz and wine selection is very nice Breakfast is good, I lacked a bit of sweet options or baked goods. On one evening we had dinner buffet, it was extraordinary. Cocktails in the bar were also very, very good. —— Unfortunately massage service was very inconsistent. Me and my boyfriend both got same massage, but level of service was different. Also 30 min. massage was over in 20 min. Room was comfy, spacious and clean. —- I will return, as it is a very relaxing and pleasant hotel with a good spa and delicious cuisine. Perfect for a getaway. It is also very fairly priced

I found Göbel's Schlosshotel "Prinz von Hessen" to be a true gem among luxury accommodations. And this is what I liked. The staff at Göbel's Schlosshotel are its crowning glory. I loved it. Their attention to detail, genuine warmth, and impeccable service make every guest feel like royalty. I truly enjoyed every meal there and so I can recomend it to you as well.

I have stayed there 3 years in a row. Got really disappointed during my last stay and e-mailed the hotel about the matter and the outrageous behaviour of the receptionist in relation to it. They never replied, I guess the receptionist just deleted the e-mail. So my go-to hotel on my north-south-Europe trip is off the list after that experience. They have a lot of potential, but just don't care.
