Excellent place in the centre, but quiet. Close to many travel options, an historic graveyard and with a supermarket next door. The room was spacious, clean, warm and comfortable. I had a great night's sleep undisturbed by any noise from either inside or outside. I found all the staff to be helpful and courteous at all times. My favourite thing was the breakfast. There's a huge range of options available for a really good length of time to fit in with, or around, your plans. I'd stay here again very happily.
The hotel is SUPER well located. Almost in front you have a tram stop, in the next block more tram stops and a metro station. The Hotel is 5 minutes by tram from the main train station. Regarding the hotel itself, I would highlight the breakfast, it was delicious, very varied and of good quality. The front desk personal very friendly. The rooms, without great pretensions but they do their job: clean, quiet, enough electrical outlets. The only two aspects that I would mention as curiosities are: 1) the bathroom door is very heavy and does not stay open by itself, I had to leave my suitcase as a blockage to keep the bathroom ventilated after taking a shower. 2) The hair dryer is not powerful, it is better to bring your own if you need to fix your hair.
This was one of the worst hotel experiences l've ever had. First, the room was dirty - dust on furniture, stained bedding, stained furniture. The TV didn't work one night at all. I paid for breakfast but due to an emergency, I couldn't attend - and the hotel refused to refund a cent. But the most shocking part was how the hotel handled a serious personal situation. After the sudden death of a close family member, I contacted them asking to change my booking. I clearly explained what had happened, hoping for even the smallest amount of flexibility or understanding. What did I get? A cold, automated message: "No changes allowed." No reply from a human being. No sympathy. No acknowledgment of the loss. Just a complete lack of compassion. This hotel clearly prioritizes profit over people. It's one thing to enforce a policy - it's another to do so without the slightest bit of humanity. I wasn't asking for a free stay - just some basic decency in a time of grief. If you're looking for a place that treats guests like actual people, look elsewhere. I would never stay here again. p.s As I cannot reply to a comment I am updating my review- I am quite aware of the policies as someone who worked in a hotel for 5 years- but what I am extremely bothered by is the way you handled the situation- and I also asked for change of the dates which you also rejected- so do no pretend here that you could not do anything and try being good guys which you are obviously not. And your apology and condolences are coming 5 days late. And yes- next time I will book a refundable rate in case someone else dies- thanks for that very helpful peace of advice. p.p.s yes- I refused an upgrade (as I could not care less where I slept for that one night)! p.p.p.s this still does not change the fact that you just ignored a message in which I clearly stated that someone in my family died. And finally thank you for publicly admitting that you did not want to do anything- you gave yourself the best review!
