We had an excellent stay. Rooms are a little tight, but they were clean, bathroom was very clean and updated. Loved the heated towel rack. Breakfast was absolutely top notch and was the only hotel we stayed at in Europe with a free breakfast. Location is quiet, but still has access to transit and food.
Great place to stay if you want to go to phantasialand. It's a 4 minute drive away from the park or roughly 10 euro in a taxi. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful
The hotel was ok…in the same way your wife is ok, when she tells you that she's ok The bathroom was pretty cramped and the toilet seat was broken. Not too big a problem if you sit down, but lift the seat and it wanted to twist off the toilet The radiator thermostat looked like it had been in a fire, and a strange hole above the door housed a loudspeaker which suddenly started announcing car licence plate numbers On Sunday night, the car parking was a complete mess. The upper deck looked like a full Mahjong board and became gridlocked because nobody wanted to pay to use the underground car park. The hotel ought to waive the underground fee in the interests of allowing guests to depart the next day without having to shout at the entire hotel via the bathroom speaker holes The room was alright, but the air conditioning neither produced air, nor conditioned it. It was like a small butterfly was flapping its wings on the other side of the vent. After leaving it running all night, the corridor between the main door and the vent was about 0.003⁰C cooler than the rest of the room What Google identified as a baby cockroach wasn't a nice addition to the room. I was about to go to sleep when I looked over at a can of alcohol free beer on the bedside table that I had drunk earlier in the evening, and there, on the top was the cockroach I gave it a ride down the plughole in the bathroom, but then set about meticulously checking the rest of the room for unwelcome tenants. Thankfully, there were none, but I certainly didn't sleep very well! Breakfast was good, but some of the staff looked rather unhappy. The second day I noticed some new staff were being trained. If it was my hotel, I'd train the new staff by allowing them to sit and enjoy breakfast from a customer's perspective. See how they'd like to be treated, work out for themselves what is good and what needs to be changed Well done to the member of staff who saw my origami attempts at repairing the broken "do not disturb" sign and replaced it with a new one. It's a shame the same proactive approach wasn't applied to the toilet seat Location is good for Phantasialand and the hotel is also right next to a supermarket
