We stayed in this lovely hotel in the Heart of Barcelona. Like an Oasis in the middle of an extremely hot place. We took a day to relax at the rooftop pool and take in the views. Enjoyed some delicious Tapas. The location is perfect. A very well run establishment.
Loved my stay here, quieter part of town, but easy to get public transportation. The staff at check in were so friendly and welcoming I really loved my stay here and felt very safe as a solo traveler coming and going about in the day and later evening. Will definitely be back and had to book the other H10 (Urquinone) only because Casanova was full.
Location is great. Walkable to so much in Barcelona. Our suite was beautifully renovated. The front desk staff are kind and they do a good job handling the crowd and they do everything they can to help. However, there are just too many small details that had a big impact on our stay, so I would definitely not stay here in the future. - the walls / floors seem to be thin. Two of our nights, the kids could not fall asleep, and we had difficulty sleeping because of lots of noise from surrounding units. - the design of the shower causes lots of water to leak between the glass shower wall and the glass shower door. - the irons are terrible. We asked for more than one. No steam iron and no steamer available. - there’s a towel warmer, but it does not work. - the gym is small, which is fine. However, the equipment falls short. There are no free weights or dumbbells. There’s one multi function weight machine, but some of the cables have been broken, not everything works, and some of the things that do work are not in an optimal position. For example, you can’t fully extend your arms when doing biceps curls. Very unsatisfying. (Just FYI, only one elevator will take you to the eighth floor to get to the gym.) - the breakfast food is fine. It was super busy and crowded and a bit chaotic. The staff were somewhat overwhelmed. Again, it’s a nice hotel and it checks all the big ticket boxes. However, if some of the details above matter to you, you might get frustrated here.
