We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are very comfortable and bathrooms well appointed. The breakfast buffet has offered a wonderful variety of both food and beverages. In the evening, we had lovely meals and can highly recommend the fish dishes & burgers. We heard from other guests that the pulled pork was pretty awesome too. Lastly, the bartender was fantastic for our drink preferences… and always a last stop for a night cap! If I am lucky enough to come back to Rome, this is where I will stay!👍
I have just returned from a stay in this hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff friendly and welcoming. We found the Rooftop Pool to be a great escape from the heat of the city for the late afternoons also. Giving this hotel 3 stars as we did find the breakfast to basic with limited options and the hot food on offer was not as hot and as a fresh as we’d usually expect from a 4 Star Hotel. There were a few occasions where the scrambled eggs tasted like fish. We also found the Pool Bar to be very expensive for what was on offer. Cocktails can be brought from the local bars for around €6 yet the hotel was charging €12. Cans of Coke from the mini bar were €3.50 but buy them from the Pool Bar and they were €4. This didn’t make sense to us, prices throughout the hotel should be consistent. They are also charging €12 for a lunchtime sandwich which is just that with a few crisps thrown in and again these can bought in the local cafes for €3 per sandwich. We did however find the location to be ideal. Away from the main hustle of the city centre but with very regular and easy connections to it via buses and trains.
The hotel looks modern from the outside, and the reception area is appealing at first glance. However, you quickly notice in many areas that the hotel is currently undergoing renovations. Parts of our room felt quite worn, although there were some updated features in the bathroom, such as a new toilet flush. The pool area definitely needs a refurbishment — it feels outdated and rather bare. The pool bar offers very little choice, and the fitness room is extremely small, with just four machines. By today’s standards, that’s not acceptable for a 4-star hotel. The breakfast experience was also underwhelming. The dining room felt cold and uninviting, there was no option to sit outside, and the selection was quite limited. Overall, a very average hotel that falls short of 4-star expectations in several areas.
