Fantastic staff, we felt very looked after. Great quality food. Top brand drinks and generous measures. The pools and sun loungers are excellent. Buses are available to all parts of the island very nearby. We walked to the capital, Santa Cruz, a couple of times. It took 50 minutes and was mainly flat. Some great restaurants and shops are nearby. There are 3 beaches very close by. Obviously, they are black sand but are super clean, and it is safe to swim. The views from our room were spectacular. Overall, we would recommend this hotel and may well come back again.
We stayed for 14 nights and were comfortable here. We found the staff friendly, efficient and helpful. We weren't blessed with good weather so couldn't make the most of the pool area which is spacious with plenty of sunbeds. The hotel is on the sea front but with no private beach - there's a nice black sand beach a 10 minute walk away though. There are several restaurants and a Spar and hiperdino close by - from a few minutes to 10 minutes walk. The food at the hotel is adequate but not special so you might end up going out for meals. The hotel is very close to the airport but there aren't very many flights daily so it's not constantly noisy. There is very limited parking for cars at the front of the hotel but there are a few free car parks opposite and some on street parking. We were always able to park close to the hotel. There are running routes near and around the hotel but to hike the trails on the island you need a transfer to the start point. A bus runs roughly every half hour to Santa Cruz - which is worth visiting and wandering around - and it's possible to get bus connections to other parts of the island from there. Overall, it's a pleasant enough hotel and fair value for money. It's comfortable and clean just not very special.
Stayed here for 3 nights due to a mechanical breakdown of our campervan. Immediately reminded why we don't like large hotels. It's clean and seated next to the sea but absolutely lacks any vibes. Food isn't fresh and tasteless with a lot of salt/sugar. Nothing local. No garden, busy, mass tourism, noisy. The interior is dated and it overall just feels very cheap and not authentic.
