Haarlem Apart Hotel

Very nice hotel with big rooms feels like you are at your home the price was really good and it was very clean in the heart of haarlem location was perfect and it is very close to the beach and Amsterdam!!!!!

Nice enough room, but pretty spartan. Stairs were treacherous (yes, I know it’s the Netherlands) and the AC wasn’t ideal. Worst of all was that the staff were very rude. The place has no one on site, and the only interaction was via intercom. They were curt, unfriendly, and condescending. Glad we only stayed one night, and won’t return.

I had room number one. Since I travel (business traveller for about 15 years), I have never had such a bad experience. 1. Strong cigarette smell in the room, 2. Poor quality towels 3. Leftovers from previous tenants in the fridge and freezer 4. Difficulties to to get an invoice for tourist taxes (finally corrected after a set of reminders ) I stayed 3 nights. In point 3, the owner was informed twice. It was still there when I left. It would have been a cheap hotel, it couldn't have been more acceptable. But the cost was €170 per night, without breakfast. It is in no way a recommendable place, at least the room number one. I see some comment saying "friendly staff". How could it be ? There is no front desk, your key wait for you in a locker...
