Habitation Grande Anse

Great hotel! Beautiful grounds near the Grande Anse beach, which is a few minutes walk along a busy road. I and all other guests didn’t mind, especially as you pass by the hordes of cars looking for a parking spot. You need to be comfortable with a 3-5 minute stroll. The hotel restaurant is exceptional, with beautifully presented, tasty, and (for US/CA standards) affordable dishes, think a main course in the 20-25E range. Beautifully designed place as well with a nice balcony. Those in the ‘hotel formula’ also receive their breakfast at the restaurant; this was quite nice as well although at peak times some foods tended to run low. The dinner staff also at times struggled to keep up with peak hours, but this seemed to be much worse elsewhere on the island. Our junior suite (30) was really nicely designed with ample privacy and a beautiful balcony with a garden view. The metal roof was a bit noisy at times, but that is a really minor point. Note that there seems to be a very wide variety of room types, from beautiful suites with sea views to small rooms near the pool without as much privacy. Choose wisely. The hotel staff was very friendly as well. The manager was patient with my limited French, and staff in general was able to speak some English with guests that included Germans, Italians, and Britons. With a few words of French or even without you will be totally fine here. Overall, I was very impressed! Worth a stay!

The staff is really nice, ready to meet all of your requirements. The room ( 46) was clean and nice. Each day we were finding the room extremely clean, even our clothes were packed and arranged. We are a family with 2 kids, one of 3 and the other of 6 so our room was really messy, but, thank God the woman who was dealing with cleaning was amazing and saved us each day. The food was really good, well done, tasty. When you woke up and open the door and see that extremely beautiful garden it feels like heaven! The pool is clean. The only thing that I didn't liked it so much is the window which is like a shutter . Thank you so much for your hospitality! Congratulations for staff !

This place was magical! The location was amazing, right across from the beach with a breathtaking view of the Grande Anse. We enjoyed watching the sunset from our patio every night and enjoyed being able to walk to the beach and restaurants. The suite was newly remodeled with a modern aesthetic and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We felt right at home and even talked about how we could live here. The restaurant, Le Pappilon, had some of the best food we had while in Guadeloupe. The presentation, execution and flavor was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed every meal. Above all, however, was the level of service and hospitality we received. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with kindness and respect and the staff went out of their way to accommodate and anticipate all of our needs. Virginie helped us with a rental car, booked a taxi for us and assisted us with choosing an accommodation for our next stop. We had difficulty finding a taxi from the marina upon arrival, and the owner ended up coming to pick us up himself. Above and beyond. We are so happy we chose to spend our time here and will certainly be back if we ever find ourselves in Guadeloupe again!
