Hacienda Chichen Resort and Yaxkin Spa

Stayed here as a family of four and absolutely loved it. The location for Chichén Itsa is brilliant (seven minute drive) and the hotel itself is gorgeously tucked away in the jungle (complete with birds, frogs, snakes and all elements of jungle life). Dinner and breakfast both delicious and a lovely atmosphere with other diners on the terrace. Pool area is great and refreshing. Staff couldn’t have been more accommodating - would highly recommend.

I did not start as a guest but dropped in as a diner. A very elegant place rich in history. Of course the disbandment of haciendas and their power hungry, oppressive owners was the reason for the Mexican Revolution of 1910. This hacienda had been painstakingly restored to a level of beauty and now feels relaxing. The grounds are as beautiful as the buildings. Lunch was simple chicken quesadillas but the plate was a piece of art. The food was delicious. Wait staff was attentive and on the ball. Located just up the road from Chichén Itzá it's a great place to stop in on your way back to Merida or Cancun.

I absolutely adored this place despite some drawbacks. Historical site adjacent to Chicen Itza. The place started as a plantation with remnants of old churches, a beautiful chapel within a ground and some old wells. Beatiful surroundings, lush greens, food was good. WiFi was upgraded to Starlink but coverage is rooms is bad (good reception in main building)
