Hacienda del Valle Sagrado

We stayed here before and after Machu Picchu. They let us park our rental car and store our big luggages here while we took a taxi and train to stay at Aguas Caliente for 2 nights. My husband is allergic to perfumes/ cleaning chemicals, the staff (Lucia and a nice gentleman) spoke English and were so accommodating and opened numerous rooms for us to check prior to selecting the room best for us. We also wanted access to outdoor space, this hotel has an outdoor yoga platform, rooftop restaurant has windows that open for a nice breeze, there is car exhaust smell and cow manure smell. It is noisy if your room faces the street, we just wore ear plugs. All rooms were very clean, if you leave windows open bugs will fly into the room, they were not mosquitoes so I didn’t mind. I actually like having bugs as a good indicator to me that the environment is not being sprayed by pesticides or room sprayed by Lysol. Internet speed is okay, sufficient for digital nomads. They also have a sauna, hot tub in rooms, nice yoga space, ping pong room. The rooftop restaurant only serves buffet lunch 12-3pm, not dinner. lunch is $75 PEN, flute music was loud. Other times the rooftop is a nice place to use your computer and have WiFi. There is no AC, and you can request a space heater if you need it. We did not need AC or heater while we were there in April, temperatures were perfect for us.

Writing this as I spend my last day here of a 10 day trip. This hotel is the nicest hotel we've seen in all of cusco, ollantaytambo and urumbamba. We got the luxury suite and was able to have an open fire right in the room which was an amazing experience. Our first suite did have a leak in the roof but the staff quickly took action and had us switched to another amazing suite. The food here is good but visitors need to be aware of the times the food is available and schedule accordingly. The free breakfast is available between 7-10am. Lunch buffet was open until 3pm and supper is from 7-10pm. No food in between. The internet can be spotty at times. The staff were great and friendly. We rented a car and therefore loved how central the hotel was to cusco, calca and ollantaytambo. Beautiful scenery. Really enjoyed. Pool and amenities were great as well.

Special scenic sacred Valley hotel jn Precious Peru has a beautiful bright and airy circular atrium filled with verdant green plants. The rooms are large although somewhat dated. Hotel serves the usual spread of hot and cold breakfast dishes. There are teabags near the front desk to make a cuppa to ward off the cold. As I was in a tour group, I did not not luxury of time to explore the hotel amenities.
