I recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. A very unique experience with all the history and having a small church. The room was spacious with a fireplace. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped me with mountain guides for hiking and also with the transportation to the airport. The restaurant served delicious food in a cozy dining room with a fireplace.
Beautiful old place. Front desk was responsive to our requests. In particular I need to give high praise to our waiter for both dinner and breakfast - he was excellent. Some updates could be made to the bedding / bathrooms but it was a great place to stay for a night.
A must see if you're traveling the Pan American south of Quito. 300 year old hacienda oozing with history, offers a delightful place to stay, a coffee bar or full restaurant. See all the history of the early settlers in the various rooms. It even boasts it's own church, a vital element in the past where a large farm and it's workers formed it's own village. The barns show an intricate watering system with aqueducts from an uphill stream.
