The hotel was lovely and clearly family-friendly, which is usually not an issue. However, it’s worth noting that there’s only one pool, and during my stay, it was completely taken over by young children and extremely noisy. If you’re looking for a peaceful or adult-friendly poolside experience, this might not be the right fit Also, they didn’t have anyone helping us with bringing our bags in from the main entrance when checking in
The hotel itself is nice, stylishly furnished. The breakfast is also good, not above average but very okay. Unfortunately the rooms are quite noisy due to very thin walls. In addition, there are some points that really shouldn't be standard for a Marriott Autograph, such as the fact that sun loungers are officially reserved by the hotel. In our case, 2 large sun beds that had been reserved since 9am. We lay down on the beds at 12:30 because no one came and were sent away at 14:00 because the people were supposed to come right away. The fact that beds are reserved at all and then unused for half the day is definitely not Marriott standard. More beds need to be made available.
I recently stayed at this hotel and feel the need to share my experience to help others avoid the same situation. I booked a room for 4 adults through a listing I checked three separate times before confirming. The first time, the photos showed 2 king-size beds. The second time, it showed one king-size and a rollaway bed. The third time—when I actually made the reservation—it again displayed 2 king-size beds, which seemed perfect for our group of four adults. However, upon arrival, we were told we had booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children, and were asked to pay an additional €100 per person—a total of €400 for the four of us. I was surprised, but agreed to the charge at the time, trying not to let it affect the trip. Later, while sharing the experience with friends, I revisited the booking page and confirmed what I had originally seen—nowhere did it say anything about children or extra beds, and the room photos clearly suggested it was suitable for 4 adults. I genuinely feel misled and taken advantage of. It’s incredibly frustrating to be charged extra based on incorrect or inconsistent information on the listing, especially when you take the time to double- and triple-check before booking. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and ensures their listings are accurate and transparent in the future.
