I ended up in this hotel after my booking didn't exist. They were accommodating and patient. The lady in the front desk spoke great English, which was so helpful. The premium room was lovely, spacious, bright, with a cute balcony and big windows. There was a steamer machine where I could hang my dresses (my first time seeing one), and slippers. There's an earthquake 24hs in the lobby, convenient as coffee shops here only open after 10am! Check was a bit later than I hoped (3pm) and no flexibility to do earlier, but once I was in, all was great!!! Also, one block from the beach.
Do not book a suite room here, any suite rooms below 15th floor have really no view of the sea, just the buildings. Nothing like they show in pictures. They say that they give floors on first come basis but the check in time is 4pm and we checked in at 4.15pm and still we were given a lower floor room with literally just buildings everywhere we see. They should clarify it while booking. Not worth it at all!
I originally made a reservation thru Agoda and reached out through msg about having a pet. They replied back stating that the room I booked was not accepting pets and I needed to do another booking. Okay, no problem, tried to change it but couldn't change my room unless I cancelled the whole reservation. Called the hotel and spoke korean "혹시 영어말있어요?", the FD lady was clueless of what I was saying and It's not my pronunication. So I switched to English and tried to tell her the check in date and my name. She couldn't even understand the phonics sound of "V" when I tried to spell my name when she asked "spell name.". So dissapointing as this hotel looked promising! My pet peeve is- If you work in a touristy place, you should at least know the basics in English, but this 아쭈마 didn't know either language, so why is she working there? I wanted to talk to her to see if they can switch me rooms and do the extra charge, but she grew frustrated after every word and kept saying ""안 들려요". This all happened around 3pm today! I say Fire her since she doesn't know the basics and can't stand pressure! She didn't even try and just kept on saying ""안 들려요"". I even gave my phone to my Korean friend and they tried to talk, but she said the same thing in Korean "안 들려요" for a few times and hung up. Then, I tried to call 3 more times with my phone and assumed because she wasn't confident answering she choose to ignore these calls (Caller I.D)-I called on another phone and she answered. My Korean friend talked to her, but because it's booked through Agoda I would have to call the 3rd party line. Given, all the trouble, I canceled and it's mainly because of the 아주마. Honestly, so dissapointed with how the staff aren't fully trained in English. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE SINCE THE OLD LADY CAN'T SPEAK ENGLISH. 0 Stars! Avoid! I also, have phone records and my Korean friend who can vouch for me, so it's not defamination! Maybe I should sue this place since Agoda said they speak English! Liars!
