I spent a fortnight in Meereszeiten working on a project that needed some peace and quiet. It was an excellent choice. The suite was roomy and the view to the boat harbour nice. To make life easy a had a three course dinner at the restaurant every night, and it was well worth the 35 euro price. Good food, nice wines and friendly service. All in all, money well spent.
The hotel is wery clean and the staff is wery helpful and friendly. There is a lovely breakfast wich contains a lot of tasty things.
We stayed here for three nights on a business trip and for another night on another trip. I liked the rooms, they were spacious and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and the blankets were large enough for me. There were two pillows available, which was a nice touch. What I didn’t like was the waterproof cover under the bed sheet. It was during our second stay that the weather and hence the room was quite warm. Due to the plastic liner I was covered in sweat and had to get up to remove the liner in order to be able to sleep. The rooms do not have an AC. As other reviews state, they will become quite hot. Opening a window helps, but will result in a lot of noise: birds, cars, delivery trucks early in the morning. The bathroom was clean and spacious in one room, a bit smaller in the other. The only thing I didn’t like was the tiny trash can loudly hitting its top when opening it due to the design of the wash table. Service was mostly charming, especially upon checking in I felt very welcome. I liked the breakfast. While the atmosphere was quiet during the week, on a Sunday morning there was a lot of hustle and bustle, which for me was too loud. There is a pancake machine, which is nice. When I politely asked about maple syrup I felt a bit gaslit by a member of staff, who told me that I should use honey instead and seemed a bit taken aback by my request. I would have preferred simply to be told that there was none. There are lots of options available at breakfast, but they are the same every day. The breakfast room feels a bit too spacious, almost like a conference room. There is outdoor seating as well, but be prepared for the smokers. I liked this hotel and will stay again.
