Hai Ao Hotel

The hotel is quite big in size. The rooms are big sized too. The reception area itself is large. You may be able to get smoking or non smoking on your choice. No one really speaks or understands English here, not in the hotel or their welcome staff, not even their catering staff. Absolutely no one. They understand words like water and food if followed by a sign too. Better brush up your sign language. I ended up using Google translate for every thing, even really simple yes or no questions. The TV entertainment in rooms is 99 percent Chinese local TV. Only one English channel that too by China itself. No Google or Facebook or whatsapp unless you get your VPN setup before you enter China. Not even YouTube works. Whatsapp may work time to time randomly. Skype works, IMO works, Nymgo works too. Thank God, Google translate worked otherwise I don't know how else to communicate. Outside the hotel there are small shops and a big grocery store but you can't get any international products. Only local products and yes no one understands English.

The hotel is a bit old and the cleaning condition is not that good. There are not enough amenities inside the hotel, no convenience store nearby, and no snack bar in the room.
