Halifax Hall

What a truly amazing hotel. Wonderful staff and incredible food. The ordinary rooms are small but beautifully finished and the suites are wonderful, with separate lounge, wonderful bathrooms and a real feeling of luxury at a reasonable price. Nothing was too much trouble and the grounds a wonderful. Used the hotel as part of a conference on site and would highly recommend. The conference package was excellent value and the room set up excellent. Whether you need a conference venue or just a lovely weekend away this is a definite must and a hotel worth multiple visits. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Lovely relaxed place to stay. The reception, bar, and breakfast area are all spotless and exceptional service from all members of the staff team. We loved the 'help yourself area' on each floor - it contained fresh milk in the fridge along with tunnocks chocolate snacks. There were top ups for your tea/coffee making area and plenty of biscuits, too. The room was clean and well maintained. Really comfy bed, a Nespresso type coffee machine with free pods, TV, loads of plug sockets,bathrobes.... The bathroom had a huge shower and twyfords toilet and sink. (Proper stuff). Suburb location, so nice a quiet. Breakfast was great... all the continental stuff you could wish for and a hot option ordered from the menu. I had the full English my wife had eggs Benedict. But lots of other options are available. The only downside is that there is no lift as it's an old building, but the ground floor has plenty of accessible rooms. All in all, it is a fantastic place to stay. If we return to Sheffield, this is where we will stay.

First visit - a 2 night stay. Large clean room, comfy bed & powerful shower. All the staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good (not mad about the coffee machine - would pay extra for fresh); we had evening meals in the bar and they were good enough. Location is perfect for my needs and I liked being able to easily access green space for a morning stroll - close to both Endcliffe Park and Botanical Gardens. Slight grumbles - Woken both days 6.30am-ish by noise of bins or similar being moved (mentioned on checking out & was advised to ask for a garden view next time). Strong smell of cigarettes on ground floor corridor. I like the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of Halifax Hall and will return and also recommend to others.
