We had a first-floor one-bedroom twin bed suite which was spacious and light. The view from the apartment was fantastic and the terrace was a pleasant space to sit out. The area is quiet and peaceful, and the apartment was very private, with nothing overlooking the window or the terrace. Beds were comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. There were dirty dishes left in the dishwasher on our arrival. We subsequently discovered the dishwasher wasn't working. The rattan furniture on the terrace was in poor condition and there were no bedside tables, even though there was plenty of room. For some reason we needed to use the key to open the door from the lounge to the bedroom. None of this detracted from what was a very peaceful, enjoyable stay.
Nice nice location in Senja, we were here 2024, three nights. Then it was very hot, so a big minus that the air conditioning was not really working. We got back and the room was really hot. I guess No problem like below 23 celcius. The service in reception and restaurant excellent. Good food. Room/apartment was nice and a nice view. The other side of them might be even nicer, we were at the harbour side.
It was a last minute decision to stay in Hamn i Senja, and it was excellent. We took one of the last twin rooms. It is small, was on the first floor and with a small window facing the rocks (not a fjord view). There was enough storage space, the bathroom was modern and the shower worked very well. It is just a bit small for the price you pay. Otherwise our stay was 5 stars. The location is exceptional with a short walk to get midnight sun views, mountain views and the islands. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and the fish soup and Bacalao were excellent. The Fish n Chips was average as the amount of fish was small compared to the amount of batter. It was beginning of the season and the staff seemed to be disorganized and just learning the systems. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of choice from fresh fruits to waffles & pancakes. We drank a good coffee latte on the terrace in the sun and it was lovely. One of the better codes we have had in Norway.
