Hampshire Hotel 's Gravenhof Zutphen

Perfect location in the center of hanseatic town. The building is well renovated, the old part is really impressive rococo style. The rooms were clean and staff friendly. Esspecially young lady at the reception welcomed us warmly and was very helpfull with information that we've asked for. Even gave us a location of local cheese shop, where we've bought kilograms of this local speciality.

We went for a wine-dine-sleep arrangement. The quality of the food and wine was good, but not exciting. It took them over four hours to serve a four course meal, with completely absent service between courses. At least we had plenty of time to look at the empty plates🙄. Beds were extremely comfortable, but we found some dust bunnies in our room ... Breakfast was excellent!

I am afraid not worth the money. Paid a lot of money for food really pretty bad. Socalled Superior room, no you cant call that superior. Only part of bathroom has been renovated. Last time I am afraid. A shame, pretty location and historic building. PS. Building is unpleasantly cold, heating system from times long gone, no heating in bathroom. I had to turn on hairblower to get some warmth.To pay €150+ under such circumstances is a damn shame, to put it mildly. PS pretty useless commentary by hotel. Price quality is just not right. The hotel is in need of renovation, which according to Receptionist is under way. Why dont you say so?! On the food, I had steak van de week. I asked what meat, the answer was "Ribeye". The Ribeye was thinner than my shoesole. The veggies that came with it were untouchable. All that for €23+ I believe.
