Hampton by Hilton Foshan Xiqiao Mountain

Outstanding. Hampton by Hilton Foshan was excellent. The room was of generous size and with balcony overlooking the lake. Nice split of toilet and shower (rain or normal function). Where the flat screen TV was, the space was shared with a noticeboard✅. Innovative. Apart from the guest room, the breakfast was again amazing. Both Chinese and Western tastes are fully catered. The fitness centre and gym both had brand new gear in two different rooms. There is a large Cantonese restaurant on the 3rd floor and ideal for staging banquets, wedding receptions, anniversaries etc.

Very clean rooms, excellent service, friendly staff, Kirin restaurant also highly recommended, environment very good to have a good rest and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

The gym is an absolute joke. One bench and five sets of dumbbells is all this huge hotel calls a gym. Opposite to this gym there is another room with brand new gym equipment but you’re not allowed to use them unless you pay for a personal trainer (to a third party company) to use their gym. Hotel room design is also a joke. Normally you would have a restroom with a sink, shower and a toilet. Here the shower and restrooms come straight out to the hall way. So when you coming out of the shower still dripping you are making the hallway wet. If you’re in the restroom, there is not a full size door separating the toilet area with the hall way. It’s a glass door with gaps. The lamp is of low Chinese quality. I pull the string to turn the lamp off at night and the string broke and I couldn’t turn off the lamp. Only solution was to remove my card key to disable all electricity to the room. In the breakfast buffet not all food items are labeled. So many times you don’t know what the food item is. Good things: hotel is nice and clean. Breakfast buffet is decent.
