We were given a great room with a view. The hotel is located a little outside the citys in an industrial area, but it was very quiet and you can get to Ascona or Lugano very quickly by public transport. Parking our car was also very easy. The entire hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet offers a great selection of delicious food where everyone can find something they like. Many thanks, we will come again
The location is great because it’s close to a bus stop and in reality only 15 minutes on foot to the lakefront. The hotel is brand new and it’s really very nice. The person at the reception is kind, professional, and helpful. There is a very nice gym with the latest techno gym, equipment and showers. The rooms are equipped with everything and obviously very modern clean and practical. The bed is very comfortable even more so because everything is brand new. The breakfast is very decent with a good choice and quality of food. I could even recommend this hotel over the ones at the lakefront, which are not always renovated, modern and are certainly more expensive.
I booked directly via HH App and opted for a King Room with a view. (At a higher rate, compared to a regular King room) When we checked in, we got a room assigned on the 2nd floor with no views, no extra chair ... it was actually a regular King room. Ok, here is the #hilton promise 'to make it right' so I went back to the front desk, asking to get a room I actually paid for, at least the same category but on a higher floor to get a view. What was the response "sorry we are fully booked" Two hidden messages in this statement: 1st) of all the customers, you're the least appreciated, as we can downgrade you to a room without view, while others will get free Upgrades (scroll down some reviews) 2nd) we also don't care about our promise, to make it right. Deal with it. It's a pity, as the hotel itself is very nice, brand new and at a good/central location. The room would have been great for what I should have paid, but paying a higher category this is horrible customer service and customer appreciation. I even convinced a befriended couple to book the same hotel, and they did. I truly regret that. Giving them double business to be rewarded with a 'We don't care' attitude.
