Hampton Inn Tullahoma

My family and I stayed 2 nights at the Hampton Inn in Tullahoma while traveling through the area. Our room was comfy, spacious, and clean. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast both mornings! The staff were extremely friendly and greeted us with a smile both when we needed something and when just passing by. We didn’t use the pool this trip but it was very clean and looked nice and refreshing! If we travel through the area again we will definitely be sure to stay here!

(Emergency situation cleaning ladies also never came a single time.., I put my own towels and trash outside of my door) I came here for a work situation. Checkout is 11 am. I had to work until 1 pm. I talked to the front desk manager on duty, to be approved for a late check out because I had my dog with me. (Had I not I would’ve been able to check out that morning when I left for work) She told me I could check out at 1 pm and that everything was fine, she would communicate that with the other employees. Well I get back from work at 11:30 am. I go to my room, my key card is not working. I go to the desk to ask what’s going on. She starts telling me my dog was barking all day. I finally get into my room after a debate, of telling her I cleared it with whoever was up front the night before. 5 minutes later, the police knocks on my door. Saying that had a call about a dog being abandoned. Had I not coincidentally been let off hours earlier, my dog would’ve been taken by animal control after I had been at work since 4 am. The officer was very understanding about everything. The employees are terrible with communication, claiming to be pet friendly and calling animal control is insane. This situation could’ve easily been handled had they had some basic communication skills. For a first time traveler by myself it was all in all a terrible experience.

Where to start... For the price and the 3.5 star rating this could not be further from good hotel. Maybe tullhoma has a different standard but this was no fun and not pleasant. I'm only here for work and this was the best rated in town yet toilet roll holder is broken, the restroom floor is uneven and cracking, the window to the outside has a big crack along it and is zero sound proof might as well have it open. Not one Lamp or fixture matches color or design leading me to believe they buy they can and shove it in the rooms, the mirror has this dreadful string to make it look like it's hung up but the mirror is bolted to the wall and the string is far to long so it just loosely dangles above the mirror like trash. Bed is god awful and if you stack all 4 pillows together you can get just enought support under your neck to sleep. Had ants in the room even a few in the bed, elevator has not been cleaned or wiped down in months. Breakfast is a joke, no hot food, batter for waffles was out and your option was a yogurt and cuper of cereal so don't believe you'll be eating here. Honestly I would only stay here as a last resort sorry to be so blunt about it.
