Hanoi Emerald Waters Hotel & Spa

We stayed at Hanoi Emerald Waters Hotel and Spa as a family of five (traveling with three kids — a teen, a 12-year-old, and a 6-year-old), and it was one of the most memorable stays of our entire trip through Asia. The hotel is perfectly located in the Old Quarter — right in the middle of the buzz but peaceful once you’re inside. We first met Tracy on check-in, who was warm and welcoming. Claire took care of us the next day with equal attentiveness, and on our final day, Kim helped us through an unexpected travel mix-up. After nearly a month of travel, we mistakenly thought our checkout was the next day — we completely lost track and ended up missing our flight. Even though the mistake was on our part and we hadn’t booked through any of their affiliates, the team didn’t hesitate to help. They rearranged airport transfers, assisted with new flight bookings, and offered a late checkout so we could regroup with our kids calmly. That kind of support meant everything. The breakfast buffet was also a highlight — fresh local dishes, eggs to order, fruits, pastries, and plenty for even picky eaters. Far better than what we expected for the price. There’s no pool at the hotel, but the bellhop personally walked us to their sister hotel, Lucien, so we could use theirs. Another thoughtful touch. This was more than just a hotel stay — it was a place where we felt genuinely cared for. Highly recommend for families, especially those navigating Hanoi with kids.

I had an amazing stay at Emerald Waters Hotel & Spa in Hanoi. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location was perfect right in the heart of the city but still peaceful and quiet. What really stood out was the hospitality. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and pleasant. If you’re visiting Hanoi and want a place that feels like home, this is it. Can’t wait to come back someday!

This is a wonderful hotel. We stayed there with our children and the staff made every effort to ensure we felt welcome, comfortable and happy. The beds were comfortable, quiet and beautifully cleaned each day. Breakfast had far more choice than we were expecting and was delicious. Location was perfect. It is also fantastic to have an onsite spa after a long day walking around! We left a few days ago and my children still talk about how kind everyone was and how they'd love to go back!
