Coming in ahead of schedule our request for early check in was accommodated promptly. Gigi at the registration was nice, thoughtful of celebration gift and very helpful in all our needs. Concierge are always prompt in getting us ride and helpful finding places for us. Our room has a very nice view overlooking the promenade of both side of the islands, watching boats and ferries are so relaxing, sometimes helicopters from a distance circle around like a show. The very comfortable pillows made it for me. The room is always clean and polished, even asked us if we need anything for the day. Wendy's hospitality smile and greetings every morning for breakfast is refreshing. The food is good enough for healthy choices and indulgence. I appreciate this hotel and will be coming back.
My recent stay at Harbour Grand Hong Kong presented a blend of positive and negative interactions, ultimately leading to an average overall experience, primarily due to the hotel's location and a few helpful staff members. Upon arrival, my initial impression was unfortunately quite poor. The lady at the reception desk during check-in was unwelcoming, dismissive, and rather aggressive, particularly when it came to the deposit charge, which we were not informed about beforehand. This made for a rocky start to our stay. A special shout-out goes to Roy, from the luggage team who was consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Our final check-in was a much smoother process. Maria at the front desk was a delight – friendly and welcoming. She went above and beyond by providing us with a helpful guide to things to do in Hong Kong and instructions on using the public transport system, which we appreciated. Another important point to note is that service delivery should be consistent from check-in to check-out as we felt dismissed from the hotel when leaving - there were no questions asked about our stay or if we will be returning. Beyond the front desk interactions, the hotel's location is a highlight. It's convenient, being close to both the train station and various bus stops, making it easy to explore the city. The housekeeping team also did a good and efficient job of maintaining our room throughout our stay.
Harbour Grand Hotel, Hong Kong, was an average stay for me, unfortunately so, considering that it claims to be a 5-star hotel. The receptionists are very unwelcoming and could be a whole lot more friendlier. After a long flight and many hours of travel to get to the destination, one would at least expect a friendly smile. On the contrary, the luggage team at the entrance of the hotel are superb and their service to their customers are commendable. Maria assisted us with our final check-in, in the afternoon, when our room was ready. Her experience and expertise did not go unnoticed and her great service is appreciated. One important aspect to address in this hotel is that all amenities should be equally accessible to all guests, such as the top floor whereby computers and printers may be used by guests. Unfortunately, the hotel is not accommodating for guests who may have a late flight out after check-out. Perhaps a lounge or specific area can be allocated to such guests to ensure that the service to guests is noted from start to finish, making it more of a recommendable 5-star hotel experience. Attention to detail and guests' needs, from the beginning to end of their stay, should remain the hotel's prime focus. I trust that these considerations are noted and actioned for near-future improvements.
