We had a truly lovely stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Madrid. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. We were even able to check in early, which was a much-appreciated start to our trip. Our room was spacious, spotless, and had a sleek, modern vibe — the whole hotel feels brand new. The A/C worked wonderfully (a must in Madrid’s June heat!), and every detail felt well thought out. Housekeeping did a great job with regular cleanings and turndown service. The rooftop was a highlight — great atmosphere, great views, and 2000s throwback hits playing that instantly set the mood. They even sent up a delicious slice of cheesecake for my husband’s birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. We ordered room service late one evening, and it arrived in under 30 minutes, hot and tasty. Although we didn’t get a chance to use the pool, it looked like a great spot to relax. The gym was small but had everything you’d need for a quick workout. It was empty when I used it and has a great in/out concept. Highly recommend this hotel for a stylish, comfortable stay in Madrid — with a great location.
Iconic space to the sound of Hard Rock Café. Rooms with unique architecture in every detail—beautiful, themed, and very detailed. The pool and lounge are excellent for hot days. Nice terrace and great food. Unfortunately, the service falls short: they don’t replenish toiletries from one day to the next, once left a cloth behind, and even moved personal belongings. Not very friendly.
This was my second time at a hard rock hotel after Orlando. From the beginning, this stay was a mess. I came to check-in and the request to pay for upgrade didn’t show on my reservation. No problem, paid for it. Then, they had me listed as only 1 person staying, but it was my wife, me, and my dog. So the registration should have been updated to reflect that. After check-in, we went to have the Guitar Case Brunch that I submitted for, and they said they didn’t have us on their list. (The confirmation for this came the second day of our stay). With our pet, they said they provide a dog bed, bowl, and treats, yet none of this was provided. I had to call and request it all, though only the bed and bowl were provided. The next morning we went to the pool to stay in the Balinese Bed that I rented. My wife was met by the bar attendant who said we weren’t on the list and said “Did you know its 40 euros” (like we couldn’t pay it) and we would have to pay. I went to the front desk, and luckily had the email showing that we paid for this, and had to forward the email to the receptionist for proof. Mind you, this was in front of other guests, and embarrassing. Also, the lifeguard allowed two people who did not pay, nor had reservation stay in the Balinese beds. So why do people have to pay if they are going to let others use it for free? During our time at the pool I had to search for the bar tender each time we wanted to order something, as he was never at the bar when I went. Next, we went to the rooftop bar to take part in the Concurso Sips in the City promotion, but the bartenders and servers couldn’t provide an explanation on the process. I had to email the marketing team to get info on it. Additionally, we showed up for breakfast the first morning and they said that our breakfast wasn’t included, although I paid for this beforehand, and at the check-in they said our breakfast was included. Another embarrassing moment. Eventually, they said it was included. We had the same issue the VERY NEXT MORNING! When we were in the Sessions restaurant, there would be three tables of guests, and there weren’t many workers, so the wait for things was long, and slow. Overall this was a terrible and embarrassing trip on what should have been a fun, relaxing time with my wife and our pet.
