The highlight of our stay at Hardangerfjord Hotel was without a doubt the food. Every meal was beautifully prepared, packed with flavor, and showcased the best of local ingredients. Whether it was breakfast with stunning fjord views or dinner in the cozy restaurant, the culinary experience truly stood out. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable with a great location right by the water. However, a few details were surprising for a hotel in this price range: you have to pay extra for towels if you want to use the swimming pool, and the bathrooms don’t come with basic toiletries like shampoo, shower gel, or body lotion—so make sure to bring your own. Overall, a memorable stay largely thanks to the amazing food and scenery, but a few small amenities could be improved to match the otherwise high standard.
The hotel is well located in the center of the city yet in front of the fjord. It has plenty of parking and simple comfortable rooms. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and they accommodated my dietary needs being pregnant.
Indifferent breakfast. In mid-summer, the pool was closed from 19:00. The room was small.
