Things I liked: Great value, close to the beach, lots of good restaurants nearby, awesome view from the ocean view rooms. Things I didn't like: Noise from nightclubs, low number of sunbeds at the beach, elevators take forever during peak times.
The hotel itself is not bad. We had a suite - 2 separate rooms joined by a living room with kitchen. The rooms were spacious and had a great view. What I didn't expect was the amount of people in this hotel. The elevator gets stuffed and stops 6-10 times before you get to the lobby. Location is great - they have a beach tunnel that goes under Tran Phu to the beach. Excellent beach access; however, there are not enough chairs for the beach - not even close - you can never get a beach chair. Overall, good value on the rooms, staff is doing their best, but if you want a calm place to relax, this is not the place. It's built for busloads of people.
My experience at this hotel was very poor. 1. On our first day, our family got stuck in the lift on the 31st floor for about 10 minutes. We kept ringing the emergency button but no one came until I called my sister who was downstairs waiting for us and she had to go to reception desk to ask for help. This was a NOT NICE experience for someone who suffers with anxiety like me. And when my husband asked if this happened often, the receptionist said yes! 2. Went swimming a couple of times in the afternoon and were told on each occasion that there were no more towels available. They didn’t seem to care or try to help us even though our 2 small children came out soaking wet after swimming. This did not seem to phase most guests though and as a result, the flooring at the reception area and the elevators were left slippery and wet. 3. The pillows stunk as if the covers had not been changed. Housekeeping was poor. The floors in the room were not cleaned and on a couple of occasions, our bins were not emptied. We had a club suit so one day I had to leave the cupboard under the sink where the bin was wide open then they took the rubbish that day. 4. We got back at 9pm one evening to find that we had not had our room cleaned. We called and ask and they said we left it as “do not disturb “ when the cleaner did their round on our floor. But we only left it like that when we went to breakfast, once we finished and were heading out at about 11 o’clock, we switched it to “ please make up my room”. Anyway, when we called housekeeping, they did send a couple of housekeepers to our room. As the children were tired, we just asked for some water, clean towels and toilet paper but the housekeepers didn’t seem very happy. I will never stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to my friends or family. This is definitely NOT a 5 star hotel.
