Had a fantastic couple of nights at the stables suite, absolutely lovely. Janet is great and does one of the best breakfasts we've had. I would definitely recommend it. The bed is great, huge, if a little squeaky and the pillows are super comfy. Paul's a great guy aswell and our overall expectations were exceeded.

We only stayed one night but wished it was more. We were made to feel very welcome and very much enjoyed meeting Janet and Paul. They are great hosts. The breakfast was delicious - we both had the full Yorkshire. And Paul's recommendations for places to visit turned out to be perfect - Knaresborough first for the famous view and the rest of the day at Fountains Abbey / Studley Royal. A perfect trip. Gorgeous place to stay. Sadly we were only here for one night. It wasn’t long enough! Janet was very welcoming and cooked a fantastic breakfast (which was delivered to you in the morning). We stayed in the stables, which have a separate living space, bathroom and kitchen. It was the best choice for us… we enjoyed having more space to move around. The bed was big, comfy, and, most importantly, fresh and clean (as was everything). The brownies left for us on arrival were lovely, as were the fresh flowers and homemade shortcake biscuits in the kitchen (naughty but very nice). Loved the glass milk and water bottles instead of plastic and the environmentally friendly products in the bathroom. The decor and furnishings are beautiful, especially the sliding doors. The rainforest shower was a treat, and the underfloor heating was nice, as it’s getting a bit colder now we’re at the end of November. A perfect place to unwind and relax after a busy day. The area is really quiet and peaceful. We would return again and again. I bet it’s even more gorgeous in the summertime.
