What an unforgettable experience it was staying at Head Over Hills! The views were breath-taking and we had the best service. Breakfast was excellent and the bed so comfortable! First time learning about Hastens. Thank you Head over Hills for a memorable stay!
We came for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. From booking via email to exceptional service from sommelier TC - everything was incredible. The wine cellar is a must for any foodie or wine enthusiast. Thank-you so much for a wonderful evening. It was a truly invigorating experience and as locals we will be back more often. This was our first time and we regret only discovering it now.
This is NOT a 5* hotel, at best 4 stars, for the views. But the room doesn't deserve more than 3*. We stayed in the Whales suite. The room has an awesome 5* view, together with the price, it's the only thing that is 5*. 5* means that everything is impeccable and this was certainly not the case, especially the bathroom is a problem (see pictures). When you opened the toilet lid, it started to come down again before you had the time to sit. So you ended up sitting on the lid or with the lid in your back. The shower does not have a mixer tap and the door of the shower cubicle didn't close well. You had to squeeze to close the door. We live in Europe and EVERY Ibis hotel (3*) has a better shower than this "5* boutique hotel". Then, the room doesn't have normal curtains. Instead it has some folding panels. Every night it was a struggle to get these panels closed (to keep the light out in the morning) and every morning is was another struggle to open these panels again, which usually did not work. So you are staying in a room with a 5* view, but you can only enjoy half of the view because you are unable to open the panels. The owners should stay a night in this room to become aware of the problems. The restaurant wasn't 5* either, price quality ratio was OK.
