Hearthstanes Steading

We enjoyed it a lot. We stayed in house number 1 for two full weeks. Guests are welcomed very well. With pretty and neat rooms. Our place had a microwave, oven and small dishwater, washing machine (combo dryer) and TV. There is a natural waterreservoir that they use for their water. Very soft water. On Sundays we went to a small church in Tweed. Our dog that went with us had a lovely time there also in church ;). There is a big garden surrounded with walls where he could enjoy it freely. The owners are very friendly, attentive and caring. The surroundings are very pretty. Nearest supermarket is a 23 (Biggar) minutes drive. Or Peebles (30 minutes).

We were looking for a home/office away from ours amidst tranquility and close to nature. We stumbled past this upon research to book and were not to be disappointed. Absolutely stunning backdrop this self catering cottage with excellent WiFi and smart tv was what ticked our boxes and our pooch as well who loved watching the deer, sheep, cows, and his walks as did we! Very cosy and comfortable with two toilets being handy though could really have done with a stand in shower! Pretty remote so luckily had bought all we needed with us on the way. Visited Pebbles, Moffat, Biggar and Edinburgh with this as base. Found a lovely outlet at Moffat and bought some excellent stuff. Would recommend this escape and will surely visit again, Thank you Ralph, Maura, Aurora for a comfortable stay. Hope to see you again.

Wonderful cottage, the host is so nice and made us feel very welcome with our cottage all lightened up and warm at our arrival. Everything is so well kept and nicely decorated. We could stay with our small dogs and they also provided a water bowl and a towel to help keep clean, very appreciated. Would recommend to everyone and hope to be back soon to this magic place.
