Hellenia Yachting Hotel

Very clean facility. Pool and private beach were fantastic. Breakfast was amazing and bountiful. The staff was very cordial, professional and dedicated to help the clients have the greatest stay. Tonino (and his colleagues) at the front desk went out of his way to help us when we forgot our passports. They mailed them to us in no time at all. We will be back with our entire family to enjoy the hotel.

The hotel is a fantastic delight, and great value. It had a unique character which was classy and practical. The best part was the hotel staff, who were incredibly helpful and cheerful at all times. Due to plane times, we arrived 3 hours before check in but could store our luggage, change into swimming gear, and use the hotel beach and facilities before we had officially checked in at 2pm. Our flight out was at 8.30pm but the hotel also allowed us to use the beach and facilities for the day after we had checked out at 10am. This took away a huge stress for us, and gave us an extra day of enjoyable holiday. The beach area was open and friendly, and near enough to some rocks for some great snorkelling. We would STRONGLY RECOMMEND this hotel!

When we arrived at the hotel yesterday, the first thing they told us was that there's no spa. Please note that the hotel has the word "spa" in their name but apparently it's being renovated. We were only informed about that when we booked the room and received a short message "spa is being renovated". We didn't immediately see a storno option but apparently there was one. Now, one could argue that one's on us. The other thing that we found to be really weird for a 4 star house is that you had to explicitly ask for slippers, there is no conditioner in the bath room, no bath robe either and if you want to open your beer bottles, please be prepared to go to the hotel bar as there are no bottle openers in the rooms and they also don't bring you any when you ask for them. There are beach towels provided for you but only one per person and per stay and in case you'd want a fresh one each day (as you are also paying each day for the stay) they cost 3 EUR per towel. But that wasn't even my personal highlight yet. As I don't eat any meat I asked for some salmon at breakfast which turned out to be a mission impossible. Some waiter went in the back to ask for it and came back with the information that if I wanted any salmon at a 4 star hotel I had to pay extra, which of course I didn't. So, if you would like a 4 star experience (mind you, I'm talking about the basics here) you might consider booking another hotel. So far, I have to say that service has been lacking and even when we voiced that in a friendly and reasonable manner we were met with confusion and resistance.
