Overall, Hellenic Vibes is an excellent hotel in a great location the heart of Athens. I give it 5 stars, but it wasn't perfect. They have an app to control various things in the room, like lights, AC, and unlocking the door. When it works, it's great. But, the unlock worked less than half the times I tried to use it, and the light control stopped working completely on our second day. The big problem with losing light control on the app is that there is only 1 physical light control in the room, which turns on ALL the lights on in the room full brightness, or turns off ALL the lights, including the bathroom! There are separate light controls for the bathroom, so a couple times when someone was in the bathroom we did have to turn off the lights on them with the main control and turn them back on a second later with the bathroom light switch. Also, they did run out of facecloths our second day and could only give us the larger towels, which don't work well if you're trying to use it in the shower. In the end though, those were minor flaws in what is otherwise a great place to stay, in a great location right in the middle of great shopping and food options in the heart of Athens. Highly recommend this hotel!
What does one need when they travel ? Z A. The breakfast is average. The bathrooms and showers are superb. Location bang in the centre of so many late night food outlets. High tech rooms with amazing amenities. Not exactly a 5 star with the grandeur expected but a great visit. Will be back soon.
The hotel has an awesome location, just in the tourist center of the ciry. The room was nice, stylish, well equipped. Everything clean and organized. However the food at breakfast leaves much to be desired: the choice was narrow, there were no fresh eggs option, that you get on the spot cooked for you, the choice of vegetables was poor, there was no fish for breakfast, and no menu to order from. That is not what you expect from a 5 star hotel. In addition, all the 3 days of our stay there there were constant problems with shower: the water temperature was jumping from very cold to extremely hot. That was super annoying taking into account the Greek heat wave this July.
