The transfers from airport to hotel and back to airport were flawless through Hennan. The convenience is worth it. 45 minutes after we landed in Boracay, we were having a drink by the beach. The rooms are spotless and attended to everyday. The facilities are fantastic. The staff were perfect. The seafood buffet in the restaurant is a must. We will stay there again for sure. Best hotel and service.
Room Type Deluxe Room for 2 pax (4 nights) February 3-7, 2025 Our check-in experience wasn’t the best. 1. Special Request I had requested multiple times via email and in my booking for a surprise “Welcome to the Philippines” message for my partner, as it was his first time (even if just on the TV screen). I had previously made a similar request with my family at Henann Regency—a birthday greeting—with no extra cost. I was happy to pay extra for it if needed. However, when we arrived, nothing had been prepared. The request was completely ignored, which was quite disappointing. 2. Their CC policy. The credit card I used to book had already been charged ₱47,630, but since it was later blocked due to fraudulent transactions, (I still presented the actual card I used) but the hotel still asked us to pay the full amount again at check-in—another ₱47,630 from our debit card. The original charge on my credit card was eventually refunded, but it took ages before it was returned. 3. And lastly, the deposit process was disappointing. Since I couldn’t use my credit card and they didn’t accept debit cards for the deposit, we had to pay in cash. Initially, we were told it would be ₱2,000 per night, but suddenly they said it would be ₱4,000 per night for cash payments. For our four-night stay, that meant ₱16,000 upfront. While it was refundable, it honestly felt like a rough start to our trip—like money was being drained from us on day one. Definitely not the first impression I was hoping for. But aside from that disappointing check-in, our overall stay at the hotel was great.
The hotel is beautiful and has great access to all the things Boracay has to offer, but one of the benefits of staying at the Henann chain is the free breakfast that comes with your room weather you want it or not. I have to say, at crystal resort the breakfast was enough to ruin the entire stay. I have enjoyed this free breakfast many times before at other Henann hotels and it made Henann a clear choice for me, but not anymore. The staff tries to force you to sit where they select and will refuse your suggestion forcing you to be aggressive to sit comfortably. They must always cook the fish first and reuse the pans as everything from the eggs to the other proteins have a strong fishy taste. I have been here 4 mornings now and don’t even bother with the free breakfast at this point because the undercooked and room temperature food is almost a guarantee.
