Hennan Regency is located in Station 2 so it is convenient to go to restaurants, bars, DMall, shopping areas and most importantly, just in front of the beach (depending on your room). It also has a pool bar so it’s nice to chill anytime while drinking mango shake :) The Deluxe Room has the basic amenities that we need (towels, shampoo, soap, toothbrush, tv, aircon, table, etc.) We stayed here twice already and would still choose it all over again. It’s not as cheap and as expensive as other Hennan hotels, just in the middle in terms of pricing. Buffet breakfast was also good and there are lots of options. If there’s availability, you can be seated on a table with a view of the beach. For lunch, it is near Christina’s, Mesa, Hap Chan and Peri-peri and other restaurants. At night, it is also beside a bar but you can’t hear the noise outside. We also availed airport transfer for 2050 Php roundtrip (includes airport pickup/drop-off, Caticlan-Boracay boat transfers, hotel pickup/drop-off).
Stayed for 4 nights with my husband. - Airport Pick-up Was Excellent We booked their airport transfer service, and it was smooth, efficient, and truly hassle-free. Definitely one of the highlights of our arrival. well worth the fee. - Dining Experience Was a Highlight Their breakfast buffet at Sea Breeze Café was satisfying with a good variety of choices to start the day. We also tried their dinner buffet, which was excellent plenty of food options and flavorful dishes. Drinks were great, and service from the restaurant staff was decent and professional. Definitely a highlight of the stay. - Surprised by the High SECURITY DEPOSIT Upon check-in, we were unexpectedly asked to pay ₱2,000–₱3,000 per night as a security deposit, despite having already paid in full for our stay online. This felt excessive. Not everyone travels with extra cash on hand, especially in large groups or long stays. It felt unfair, as if we were being asked to “pay again” just to access the room we already paid for. It would be more considerate if this policy were communicated clearly during booking or better yet, lowered. - Rigid and Inflexible Policies For a 4-star resort, we found the atmosphere surprisingly strict. We asked politely if we could extend our check-out by just an hour, and were immediately told no—without any effort to check availability or offer alternatives. We’ve stayed at hotels all over the world, and this is the first time we felt this unwelcome about such a simple, common request. - No Lifeguards at the Pools A bit shocking for a resort of this size and popularity there were no visible lifeguards on duty at the pools. While we didn’t encounter any incidents, it’s concerning to think that guest safety isn’t given the priority it deserves. - Lacking in Warmth and Hospitality The whole stay felt overly rule-bound, and not in a way that contributes to comfort or security. Hospitality is about making guests feel cared for and welcome, and unfortunately, that personal touch was missing. We felt more like transactions than travelers looking to relax. While our stay was adequate, i will not be returning to this hotel or any of its properties. I also do not recommend of it to friends or families.
Extremely disappointing. Not worth the money! I had saved up for months to treat my mum to a relaxing beach getaway, especially after she injured her knee. I made sure to book well in advance and my only request was simple: please give her a room close to the beach so she wouldn’t have to walk far. Despite my early booking and repeated requests, they gave her the room furthest from the beach. No explanation, no apology, no attempt to help resolve the issue. She spent the entire trip struggling with long walks just to get to the beachfront area, which completely defeated the purpose of this vacation. To make things worse, because of her condition, we couldn’t eat out. I bought some snacks like burgers and fries, so we could have a casual meal in the room. But even that was an issue. The staff stopped us at the entrance and insisted we weren’t allowed to bring outside food in. No understanding or empathy, just rigid rules with zero flexibility. He also insisted that we would be charged a ridiculous fee if we insisted to bring the food and if we wanted to argue, he suggested to "just complain to the reception" For the amount I paid, I expected basic respect, especially for a guest with special needs. The location might be nice, but the service and care were absolutely lacking. I won’t be returning, and I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing or accommodating stay.
