Herdade Vale de Cabras

Really really enjoyed my weekend away at the authentic Alentejo herdade run by a Portuguese family for many years! 🙌🏡 Anywhere you look you had fantastic views! Fresh air and sun! It was also a functioning farm só you could visit the fields with the goats, and baby goats (it was birthing season) , sheep and donkeys The facilities have everything you can need, pool, heating AC, full breakfast. I will come here again and again !

Blissful solitude yet close to everything in the Alentjo. Manuela and her entire staff are warm and genuine. The hiking on the farm is excellent. The morning breakfast is excellent. Very clean rooms and bath. The bedding, sheets and pillows are 1st class.

Spending three days in Herdade Vale de Cabras felt like a well deserved gift after one year and a half like the one we all had. The place is wonderful, the sight from every angle in breathtaking, the pool is clean (don’t believe previous reviews, they probably had one bad day, I can assure that it was perfectly maintained) and right above the hill, making your afternoons of relax look like a postcard. Moreover, Manuela is a wonderful host and a beautiful soul, she’ll make you feel at home and help you with everything you need, from breakfast to whereabouts advices, and all of this giving you the best of heartwarming smiles for free (also a great cook, remember to ask in advance to have at leas one dinner in). Bonus: if you love animal there’s many of them, and some are extremely loving and entertaining.
