The hotel and the restaurant are places not to miss. The rooms are nice and large and have some of the best views! The restaurant is perfect for a before dinner drink and the food is amazing!!! The lamb stew was such a great dish we recommend it others around the town. Don’t pass on this hotel. Rodolfo and Ivan were awesome and made our stay extra special.
It is the only 5 stars hotel within Hallstatt. They have 3 different buildings & each offers different views & perks. We stayed at building 3, the furthest with the best view of the lake. The room is spacious & cozy. Staffs are exceptional! Everyone is very friendly & helpful. On our last day, after checking out & got to the parking, my bf realized he lost our car key. The staffs including the wonderful female shuttle driver went above & beyond to help us find our keys. I wished I could go back to repay their kindness.
The hotel was well rated so I decided to book it. What I liked: The location is great, at the center of Hallstatt; great staff; good breakfast; Room size was good. What I did not like: Bathroom was old with a terrible sewer smell that we complained, but the service person could only put some cleaner to disguise the smell. In the end, we maintained the bathroom door closed. We asked to move to another room but there was none available.
