We stayed in the Mountain Cottage (November 2023) - ideal for a romantic getaway. We were initially concerned that the units all seemed to be next to one another but we had absolute privacy and even our own back yard complete with loungers and a hot-tub. Gorgeous mountain views can be enjoyed from both the front seating area and the back. The unit is very well equipped and spacious and we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The cottages are set on a working wine farm far from the main road so you can enjoy absolute peace and quiet during your stay. You can order a tuk-tuk or a taxi to take you into town (about 5km away) but this is quite pricey (+-R150 for a taxi for two and +-R100 for a tuk-tuk for two) as there is only one company offering this service in the area. Over-all a fantastic stay and highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay. Some kitchen utensils were missing. So it was a little inconvenient on that front. But the place was comfortable, clean and quiet.

We were expecting more than one Springbuck and 4 Zebras, but definitely a very nice and clean camping spot. The private ablution turned out to be a sauna during midday, but otherwise adequate. If you do not like to be awaken by roosters at 5am, then not the place for you. They are busy with a new ablution block, so was a bit noisy until they stopped in afternoon. All and all a good place if you are here for exploring Franschhoek and wine estates. For a camping experience, not really.
