HF Fénix Urban

We had a room with two double beds which was nice and spacious with all amenities we needed. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast had a good selection. Hotel itself has a good location close to metro station. As a minus for us were the beds, the mattress was just difficult to get comfy on and the bathtub could use anti slip mats.

I checked-in around 11:30 in the morning. I was not expecting, but i was allowed an early check-in free of charge. The process was smooth and fast. The lobby is nice with a good vibe. I was happy. However this didn't last long as my impression of the hotel went drastically down when I exited the elevator to the corridor on the 13th floor. It was hot and with a strong musty smell. I looked down and noticed that the carpet is quite old and stained. The musty smell was probably from it and the lack of ventilation. After this unpleasant surprise, i walked slowly to my room while revisiting in my head the many other hotel options i had left behind with regret. However, i was yet again surprised when i entered the room!! It was bright, quite spacious and clean. (I did see a small cockroach on the work desk though). The bed and pillows were comfortable, the bathroom was also clean with good water pressure and amenities were also available. The staff is ok. I have no complaints but also nothing special to praise them for. The location is superb! Close to many attractions, Metro, several restaurants around, nice and feel safe neighborhood. Overall, despite some highs and lows, i did enjoy my stay at the HF Fénix Urban, would reccommend and certainly come back.

Good hotel and location. I arrived early hotel, no rrom available and I need to change my clothes to go to a Congress and they only offered a narrow WC to wear. Alternative wide place could be more suitable and kind. Another thing was receptionist told me breakfast was not included but it was a mistake as I payed beforehand. I observed not enough kind and friendly people in the reception
