Great hotel, on the highest edge of Formigal with amazing views from the rooms. Rooms are really spacious with comfy beds. But the greatest thing is staff of this hotel, so amazing people, really welcoming and open. We haven't made a reservation for the dinner but upon arrival realized that everything is closed due to low hiking season, but the chief told he cannot leave us hungry, especially with kids, so they made an additional table for us and made sure we have everything needed. The dinner was just fabulous and the kitchen chief is a brilliant. The hotel manager is amazing person too, knows so many languages. The breakfast was also great. Thank you guys for hospitality and care.

Room: spacious, comfortable bed, poor temperature control (winter). Service: inexperienced service at check in, not very informative. Restaurant: excellent food, great breakfast, great dinner at a great price, great service. Location: too far from where the bars and restaurants are at the town center. Transportation: horrible. Had to wait 2 hours and 45 minutes for pick up at the ski station ski station (service is interrupted, see picture). Only one driver for all 4 ski stations and all guests… Gym facilities: Don’t bother…4 pairs of dumbbells and a single bench. And old cardio machines. Doesnt take much $ investment. Gaming center: most machines such as the air hockey and others are not working. Only the pool machine works (they even charge you 2 euros for each pool game).

There is a need for some renovation work, mainly in the rooms and in the spa. But the worst part was by far the lack of staff! If you are on a ski trip, you choose this type of hotel in order to get to the runs ASAP in the morning. You just cannot afford to wait 20 minutes for some eggs at breakfast. On the first day I ended up skipping breakfast as I had to be at 9:30 in the ski run for booked classes.
